A WILD HAIR Watercolor Painting
Jackrabbits are one of my favorite animals in the Southwest. For this painting, I was working with a limited palette of three colors. While painting the background, I was thinking about the impression of colorful cactus blooms around the jackrabbit. I also wanted to personify this little guy and give him an expression of wonder and surprise. The disheveled whiskers inspired the name “A Wild Hair”.
